We’re looking for a Senior Communications and Branding Specialist to shape and share the stories of innovation within the Engineering team at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, based in Everett, WA.

This role works closely with numerous vice presidents, cross-functional teams, along with our enterprise team supporting Engineering to showcase the essential role of our Engineering team and their technical expertise.

Position Responsibilities:

Counsels and partners effectively with senior business leaders and technical teams and experts

Produces compelling content for all stakeholders through a variety of channels, including Boeing News Now(BNN), talking points, news releases, newsletters, videos and digital media, to demonstrate the critical role of Boeing’s engineers as well as positively impact employee engagement and reflect Boeing’s values

Leads communications planning and execution  

Cultivates and strengthens relationships with globally based Communications team

Manages emergent issues to ensure internal awareness and alignment while protecting Boeing’s reputation

Serves as the Commercial Airplanes focal point for the company’s request for release of information process

As a member of the broader Commercial Airplanes’ Communications team, this role also serves as a strong team member supporting other team-focused initiatives and communications.

Please note: This role is based in Puget Sound and will work onsite the majority of the time in Everett, WA. The selected candidate must live in or relocate to the area.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experience producing, writing, and editing communications plans, strategies and deliverables

Capable of distilling complex, technical and abstract concepts into concise messaging and stories through clear and compelling narrative

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Demonstrated exceptional strategic, written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and motivate to action

Interest in manufacturing/engineering/technology processes and innovation

Experience in corporate communications, public relations agency or news media

Experience supporting executives and/or senior leaders

Video production and editing skills are strongly desired
