What will you do?

As a member of Siemens Canada Communications team, this role report to the Head of Communications Operations and is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the businesses, departments and the executive team.

Senior Events Lead
Responsible for leading internal and external Siemens Canada events – both in-person and virtuallyOverall project management of the events including the development of communication strategies/plans/workback schedules, etc.Works collaboratively within the Communications team and within the organization, assigning roles/responsibilities to ensure a successful event implementationOrganizer for pillar events including the Company’s Annual Leadership Conference, Managing Board Member visits, and key employee events including Town Halls, Webcasts etc.Experience with technical elements of the event including booth/stage design and audio-visual requirements/implementationInitiates, collaborates and manages multiple vendors to ensure a successful event outcomeResponsible for event budget, invoice management and tracking/reporting key performance measuresSupports event content collection and creation, as well as drafting speaking remarks for presenters where required Content Planning
Planning, developing and implementing communication plans for both internal and external audiencesCurate and distribute content in various mediums Leadership Communications Support
Role works closely with the VP of Communications and the President/CEODevelops communication materials and profiles for key stakeholdersSupports President/CEO with communications/AV support during speaking engagements, etc. Branding
Ensure Siemens brand guidelines are followed in Company sponsored communications both internally and externally.Approver of Siemens branded communication materials and collateral

What will you need to succeed?

Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or relevant field essential Over 5 years of successful experience in B2B communications, event management and marketing required Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Extremely organized and self-driven with high attention to detail and quality Demonstrated experience with event planning and management required, with demonstrated background of leading the audio-visual elements (Webcasts, virtual events etc). Experience working in a large matrix organization and comfortable interacting with the executive team and all levels within the organization to a successful outcome Must have the ability to be onsite to manage events Video editing a strong asset Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools, Adobe Acrobat Tools, audio-visual tools, design tools, social media Bilingualism English and French is an asset
