Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Communications Manager - Real Estate Development & Facilities.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F), the Special Projects Manager plays a key role in strategically supporting a wide range of departmental initiatives in support of RED+F's vision.

Job Responsibilities:

Support RED+F in achieving its mission to translate the NYU Langone Health brand as a world-class integrated academic health system into environments for excellence; collaborate with cross-functional teams on a wide range of initiatives to ensure the success of team members and stakeholders.Coordinate key strategic activities in partnership with the Director of Strategic Initiatives. Produce editorial and communications material for internal and external audiences, in collaboration with colleagues within all divisions of RED+F, as well as with partnering departments across NYULH. Such materials to include articles, presentations, announcements, briefing materials, talking points and remarks, email correspondence, social media content, and web content. Partner with project managers across the department to create, maintain and distribute RED+F content and communications on various delivery platforms focused on messaging about planned, ongoing, and completed construction projects, facilities maintenance operations, and other types of activities and programs falling under RED+Fs wide-ranging portfolio. Cultivate and maintain close working relationships with colleagues inside RED+F and across relevant NYULH departments to collect information and data needed to keep RED+F communications as current, accurate, and relevant as possible. Provide editorial counsel, style and template guidelines.Oversee RED+F intranet website design, content creation, and the ongoing maintenance of RED+Fs online presence in coordination with RED+F partners, including Marketing and Communications and MCIT.Working closely with other NYULH departments, ensure that all publications, presentations, announcements and other communications have a consistent voice and comply with applicable NYULH policies and guidelines.Oversee the organization and maintenance of RED+Fs Image Bank Digital library of project images and other multimedia files. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of excellence and employee engagement within RED+F. Provide support for special projects as needed and assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree10 years experience in communications, web site design/management and computer graphics and presentationsAbility to synthesize information from many sources to visualize, create and implement communications collateral that will inform, inspire and excite staff, patients, visitors, doctors and other constituencies.Strong aesthetic sensibility. Proficiency with technology and media necessary to communicate effectively and clearly.Capacity and initiative to work independently, assume ownership of projects and ability to follow thru on assignments.Excellent oral and written skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communications skills.Ability to synthesize information from many sources to visualize, create, and implement communications materials and protocols that inform, inspire, and excite staff, patients, visitors, and other constituencies.Strong ability to thrive collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, deadline-driven environment characterized by competing and often shifting priorities.Good judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.Ability and willingness to assist and mentor colleagues in best practices for effective communications.Proficiency with the technology and media tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Web site management, social media platforms, etc.) necessary to communicate effectively and clearly.Capacity to assume ownership of projects and follow through to completion on all assignments.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $162,649.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
