Senior Compensation Analyst
Overview The Senior Compensation & Equity Analyst is responsible for supporting one or more areas of the business providing subject matter expertise and analysis of Sprouts executive, support office and distribution center compensation programs, short-term and long-term incentives, cost analyses, and administration of Sprouts Stock Incentive Plan, as well as being the compensation business partner to area supported. Overview of Responsibilities Develops and administers base salary, short-term incentive, and equity plans for all levels of the organization including executive, director and senior management levels. Provide guidance to assigned area regarding Sprouts compensation programs, policies, practices, and processes. Ensure organizational compliance with Federal and State laws, including reporting requirements. Advise business partners and team members on Federal and State employment regulations, compensation policies, related procedures, and programs. Conducts annual market analysis of company jobs, determining market competitiveness, providing recommendations for jobs, pay structures, and incentive plans for all levels of the company including managers, directors and VPs. Performs various analyses for new programs and company initiatives impacting compensation, and equity programs. Collects and prepares company data for annual and ad-hoc compensation survey submissions. Responsible for annual bonus plan and equity forecasting, calculations, and processing for the support office and distribution center team members for all levels of the company, including executives. Responsible for annual merit process for support office and distribution center team members using the WorkDay merit tool. Research team member questions regarding pay increases, bonus payments, and other compensation issues, providing responses through ticket system or shared email box, as well as respond to auditor requests on bonus payouts, pay issues and compliance with pay guidelines. Performs salary administration tasks including, maintaining pay structure resources, and auditing and maintenance of the HRIS compensation areas. Evaluate and create jobs, write position descriptions, determine occupational classification, FLSA status, market pricing and salary structure placement. Observe, interview, and survey team members and conduct focus group meetings to collect job, organizational, and occupational information. Prepare reports to summarize job analysis and evaluation results, and compensation analysis information. Assists team members with enrollment in Sprouts Stock Incentive plan, being the point of contact for all team member questions regarding eligibility or tax implications of transactions. Processes grants and transactions and maintains records of vesting schedules and/or exercise history through E*trade/Equity Edge platform. Reviews transactions for accuracy and compliance with applicable securities-related regulations or laws. Reports any findings to the Sprouts compliance and audit teams, as well as external auditors. Prepares and provides data and analysis for use in compensation committee meetings or proxy filings. Enters all data for compensation tables within the proxy, including director compensation, company financial results, executive compensation, peer group analysis, executive stock awards, termination tables, CEO pay ratio, and security ownership of certain beneficial owners. #LI-LR1 Qualifications Education and Experience (A combination of education, training and relevant work experience may be substituted) Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, or related field Minimum 5 years of prior compensation experience and 2 years of stock plan administration experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: intermediate to advanced Excel skills Experience with Human Resources concepts, processes, and procedures, as well as applicable Federal state and local laws, regulations and/or statutes Human Resources principles and best practices in compensation including job analysis/evaluation Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods Perform extensive research, make independent analysis and report findings Proactively identify problems or needs, involve stakeholders and develop viable action plans/recommendations Very well organized, high attention to detail, logical problem-solving skill and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of team member information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with compensation research and data analysis Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical, inductive reasoning and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams Ability to work under deadline pressure with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
