We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compensation Specialist to partner with the Director of Compensation in supporting the design, implementation, communication, and administration of Dewberry’s compensation programs. This position will play a critical role in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with their client groups to help them attract and retain talent. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of compensation, must be comfortable with having conversations with various levels of management, think strategically, manage projects and be able to handle multiple priorities at once.

ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Compensation Specialist will be responsible for:
Being a strategic partner with Operational leadership, managers, recruiters and Regional HR Directors on any compensation inquires for their respective region(s). With a focus on:Understanding needs and market conditionsAnalyzing and discussing equity concernsEducating on all matters of compensation and related HR compliance (including our processes) as neededManaging the administration of:PayFactors, our online survey tool, including continuously benchmarking jobs within the systemThe salary survey participation processSecureSheet (merit tool)Partner with the compensation team on:Full life cycle of annual review cyclesSetting intern and entry level ratesPay equity reviewsJob family administration, new job requests and FLSA reviews Review requests for new business card titles and exceptionsDayforce (HRIS) administrationInternal Recognition Programs (Service Anniversaries)Prepare monthly and quarterly HR metrics and reporting, including ad hoc requests and reporting associated with the Strategic Plan and Board ReportEnsure compensation programs comply with federal, state and local labor laws and help educate managers on the need for compliance. Including tracking and providing training on applicable on Pay Transparency laws.Provide proposal support (related to AAP and EEO information and some labor mapping)Support and lead compensation and HR related projects and perform other duties as needed Required Skills & Required ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 8 years working experience in CompensationPrior experience in compensation management, job evaluation, salary surveys and market pricingThe ability to clearly communicate, have difficult conversations and be able explain the data to those who are requesting itExtensive knowledge of Excel, including the use of vlookups and managing large data setsMust be analytical in nature and have excellence critical thinking skillsKnowledge with Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis Bacon Act (DBA) a plusFunctional knowledge of employment laws and practices related to compensation programsExcellent project management, written and oral communication skillsExperience with HRIS systems a plusBS degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent experience a must*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.
