Senior Compliance Analyst

The Compliance agent will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Manager in developing, executing, and managing the import and export trade compliance program at Barry Callebaut. Responsibilities include assisting in reviewing and approving import/export license or permit applications, providing support in trade compliance matters, and ensuring effective compliance internal controls are implemented.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

Assist in ensuring that the company is compliant with domestic and foreign import and export requirements. Providing support on day-to-day compliance matters, including HTS classification, valuation, and product qualification for preferential duty treatment under FTAs, custom broker management, antidumping/countervailing duties, and export compliance matters. Support the development and deployment of trade compliance programs and procedures on import and export regulatory compliance. Assist in ensuring legal compliance to trade laws and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments. Support the Trade Compliance Manager in analyzing and interpreting requirements for compliance as they can relate to: US/CAN/MX Customs compliance program for all ocean, air, and truck shipments CTPAT program administration Conducting US/CAN/MX import compliance audits Assisting with data analysis for transfer pricing and royalty

 

About you:

 

Bachelor's or Master degree in a relevant field At least 5 years of experience in customs & trade compliance for US/CAN/MX, proven exposure to US, CA and M customs and trade regulations Achievement, motivation, initiative, experience, and judgment. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English at proficient level. Knowledge of MS Office Suite: Excel and Word, Google drive, google forms. Knowledge on ERP system: SAP Strong Independent working
