The Compliance team is looking for a Senior Compliance Assurance Specialist with extensive experience in governance, risk and control (GRC); compliance and controls frameworks; compliance reporting; compliance culture and communication. Lead Swift’s Compliance framework reviewMaintain a repository of compliance controls and related information such as risks, evidence, issues, owners and actionsLead risk assessmentsOversee Swift’s compliance roadmap and pipelineOversee Swift’s company-wide policy frameworkMaintain an Assurance Map across the Compliance teamAct as a point of reference for monitoring and assurance queriesManage monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reportingTrack, develop and improve metrics to assess success and compliance riskDrive innovation and help innovate Swift’s compliance toolsLiaise closely with Swift’s other 2nd and 3rd line assurance functionsContribute to Swift’s compliance culture and trainingsManage and coordinate specific compliance projectsAssess the effectiveness and compliance of relevant controlsThe Senior Compliance Assurance Specialist is expected to take initiative and responsibility for building out and the dedicated Compliance Assurance pillar in the Compliance team. The role offers growth and learning opportunities. The selected candidate may be expected to travel 10-15% of their time.
Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor/University Law degree or equivalent with relevance to ComplianceA deep understanding of governance, risk & compliance frameworks and a solid understanding of laws and regulations arising in the context of Regulatory ComplianceProfessional English language skillsExperience with regulatory frameworks, relevant risk indicators, and identifying and implementing compliance controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsImpartial, open-minded, respectful and at ease with ethical dilemmaTrustworthy and respectful in handling confidential information and sensitive casesExperience of operating at various levels within the organisation (e.g. senior levels, remote employees) and with external vendors (such as law firms, authorities, third-party vendors)7+ years of relevant experience in compliance-related activities and rolesOrganised and passionate for continuous improvement and high-quality work deliverablesInclusive, collaborative, delivery-focused and with strong stakeholder management skillsOperational excellence skills (e.g. capable of building relevant reports, continuous improvement mindset) & project management experienceCapable of multi-tasking in a fast-moving environmentStrong communication skills (written and oral) and strong presentation skillsFamiliarity with reporting to governance bodies and authoritiesHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can demonstrate independence of judgement and autonomyProcess-driven mindset, capable of designing and applying procedures in their day-to-day activitiesComfortable in navigating databases & toolsExperience with providing trainingOptional
