Senior Compliance Manager - Arlington, Virginia (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to support all areas of compliance, including the review and editing of policies and procedures, transaction review, conducting investigations, providing audit support, and delivering training. The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for preparing reports and recommendations aimed at enhancing compliance policies and procedures and guiding project management and administrative teams in their implementation. The goal is to strengthen regulatory adherence and operational efficiency across activities.

This role will focus on compliance support for procurement and contracting functions providing energy assistance to Ukraine during 2025 and 2026. Travel to high-risk countries may be required pursuant to Tetra Tech duty of care standards.

Position Responsibilities

Stay current with Tetra Tech internal policies and procedures, as well as USAID/USG rules and regulations applicable to compliant contract implementation. At the direction of the Compliance Committee, conduct project-specific compliance reviews of internal controls and activities related to procurement, contracting, grants, human resources, financial transactions, and other relevant matters. Address project-specific findings by making recommendations to company leadership and project management teams aimed at correcting findings, building capacity, and strengthening controls. Follow up on the status of resolving/addressing recommendations until items are cleared. In support of the Compliance Committee, assist in investigations. Coordinate performance audits of field offices and projects. Promote and maintain a culture of high ethical standards and compliance across the company. Assist in briefing all new home office staff and project Chiefs of Party (COPs) on the roles and responsibilities of the Compliance Committee and Senior Compliance Manager.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as accounting, finance, or administration. Minimum of 10 years of federal contracting and compliance experience. Working knowledge of the FAR, AIDAR, and other government rules and regulations applicable to USAID contracts. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance on multiple concurrent tasks to achieve results. Strong attention to detail. High proficiency in MS Office applications. Ability to work effectively in a team. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage systems that contribute to better knowledge management, analysis, and learning within the organization.

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications

Experience with Approved Purchasing Systems. Additional fluent business languages.
