Our client is developing platform SaaS solutions for the national security community, focusing on enhancing the authenticity and security of information and personnel. 

They are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced computer vision/machine learning algorithms and models. You will help to ensure the authenticity and security of information and individuals in defense and national security applications by analyzing different images and determining which have been created or edited using AI.

The role is hybrid, with the expectation of 2 days a week on-site in Herndon, VA, though there is some flexibility depending on work load/schedules/commute. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, recognition, tracking, and authentication. Optimize deep learning models for image and video analysis. Integrate computer vision solutions into the SaaS platform. Conduct research on advancements in computer vision. Perform data collection, preprocessing, and augmentation. Implement testing and validation frameworks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in computer vision. Proficiency in Python, C++, and relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience with deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs). Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
