Senior ConfigMgr/SCCM Engineer
**Description** **Location: On site in Memphis, TN, Maryville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Lafayette, LA, New Orleans, LA, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, or Dallas, TX.** **No sponsorship will be provided for this opportunity.** **Job Summary:** The Senior Microsoft ConfigMgr/SCCM Engineer position is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining ConfigMgr infrastructure site hierarchy (including primary site, management points, distribution points, SQL database, and CMG). The person in this role will be responsible for supporting all ConfigMgr functions and services such as enterprise patching, database management and maintenance, reporting and monitoring, network and boundary configuration, configuration baselines, collection and application management, and server administration. The person will continuously identify ways to improve upon the current IT infrastructure, implement automation where possible, and find new solutions for existing systems. **What you'll do:** - Serve as subject matter expert in the design, implementation, operation, and administration of the organization's ConfigMgr/SCCM environment. - Serve as subject matter expert and owner of Enterprise Microsoft monthly patch ingest/test/deployment cycle (Patch Tuesday). -Diagnose and resolve complex ConfigMgr/SCCM infrastructure and operational issues. -Manage ConfigMgr/SCCM upgrades and migrations -Represent ConfigMgr/SCCM team in collaboration with Project Management and other internal stakeholders - Collaborate in corporate and site projects and activities as directed. -Create and deploy software applications and operating system images to devices -Manage hardware and software inventory -Implement scripting like PowerShell to automate ConfigMgr/SCCM tasks. - Work in collaboration with Security and other internal teams to implement and manage security measures to protect our systems and data. -Utilize ServiceNow for incident response, new request fulfillment, and change control -Participate in change control meetings. Clearly document and communicate the purpose, impact, and benefits of related changes to the environment -Utilize Tenable security tools to identify vulnerabilities within our Windows fleet and work with internal teams to mitigate. - Understanding of system dependencies and interrelation to the business. - Ability to perform capacity planning and analysis of infrastructure systems. - Able to analyze complex cross-functional and cross-platform issues. - Self-starter with a strong aptitude for rigorous testing and validation of work. **What you'll bring:** - Extensive experience designing, developing, and testing complex infrastructure solutions to support distributed scalable and highly available infrastructure. - Extensive knowledge and experience with the Enterprise Microsoft monthly patch ingest/test/deployment cycle (Patch Tuesday). - Experience and/or training in Microsoft on prem technologies (Active Directory, Windows and Server OS, BitLocker, Windows Defender) - Experience and/or training in Microsoft Cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Azure Automation, Intune) - Infrastructure automation via Scripting or automation Toolset. - Proactively engage with internal and external technical communities. - Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives. - Experience researching third party products to determine those which best meet company needs; present information to management resulting in the purchase and installation of Microsoft stack and third-party software. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating in person and via phone/e-mail with peers, management, contractors, and vendors. Preferred Qualifications: - BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience. - Minimum 7+ years of experience managing ConfigMgr/SCCM and Windows platforms. - ServiceNow and/or Tenable experience is desirable **About Us** **First Horizon Corp.
