Senior Configuration Management (CM) Specialist (ECM-2024-21290)
Bowhead is seeking to network with multiple highly experienced and skilled Senior Configuration Management (CM) Specialists for an upcoming proposal effort. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in Configuration and Data Management (DM), particularly in the context of U.S. Government and Department of Defense (DoD) systems. This role demands a deep understanding of system engineering processes and specialized proficiency in various CM/DM areas.
ResponsibilitiesJob duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement comprehensive CM plans and procedures.
Lead Configuration Identification processes to ensure accurate documentation and traceability of system components.
Manage and oversee Configuration Control processes, ensuring systematic evaluation, approval, and implementation of changes.
Maintain Configuration Status Accounting to provide accurate tracking and reporting of configuration items and changes.
Conduct Configuration Verification and Audits to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements.
Oversee Data Management processes, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data throughout its lifecycle.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in CM/DM tools and software.Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.

At least five (5) years of specialized experience in one or more specific areas of CM/DM as applied to system engineering processes for U.S. Government and DoD systems. This includes experience with combat systems, system of systems, emerging capabilities, and information technology systems.Specialized experience should include proficiency in: Configuration Management PlanningConfiguration IdentificationConfiguration ControlConfiguration Status AccountingConfiguration Verification and AuditsData Management
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold an active Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
