About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Construction Director to oversee and direct all home office and field construction activities for a large-scale project in Eastern Europe. This role requires a deep understanding of complex situations, the ability to switch between intuitive and analytical approaches, and a holistic view of project objectives and alternative solutions.
Location: Initially based in our Home Office in Amsterdam, with various site visits during the FEED phase. The role will later mobilize to the construction site in Eastern Europe.


Scope of activities

The Construction Director will need the ability to set up the project while in the home office during FEED Phase of the project in line with Fluor practices and procedures. You will be responsible and accountable for developing the construction execution strategies for projects including, safety, temporary facilities set up and arrangements through project completions and turnover through mechanical completion.

In this role you will report to a the Regional EAME Construction Manager within Fluor and Project Director.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all construction activities, ensuring adherence to project drawings, specifications, budgets, and safety standards.
• Develop and implement detailed constructability plans, including leading workshops.
• Manage project schedules and costs by optimizing manpower and resources to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Foster a strong safety culture, making safety a core part of all work performed.
• Manage a large, multi-functional team, including safety, quality, engineering, and site services, to deliver on project goals.
• Act as the primary liaison between site/project teams, senior management, clients, and the local community.
• Ensure all work is completed within scope, compliance, and safety regulations.
• Report directly to the Regional EAME Construction Manager and the Project Director.
• Take charge of technical procedures, risk mitigation, construction sequencing, and performance monitoring
