We are actively seeking talented civil engineering or construction management professionals to join our team as an experienced Construction Manager. In this role, you will support a wide range of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and water resources projects that impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities. The initial assignment includes supporting Construction Management Services for large, heavy civil, water resources projects related to the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. Projects include mass excavation, dredging, canal widening, embankments, levees, and pump stations.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the liaison between the contractor, the SFWMD, and the engineer of record.Ensure the contractor conducts work in accordance with the obtained permits.Ensure the contractor meets scheduling expectations.Ensure the contractor has materials scheduled for timely delivery.Manage the inspection work (QC).Coordinate submittals and the RFI process.Run bi-weekly progress meetings.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.PE License highly preferred.15+ years of related construction experience with heavy civil earthworks projects.Experience working with SFWMD preferred.Knowledge of environmental planning, permitting, and regulations.Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team.Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's degree preferred.Geotechnical Engineering experience is a plus.Water or Wastewater Treatment plant experience is a plus.Experience with E-Builder or similar construction management software.Leadership and business development talents are a plus.An attitude and commitment to doing exceptional work.High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00
