Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for Senior Construction Inspectors to join our South Florida Florida CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) program. Opportunities will be available in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Miami.

This is a great opportunity to work on fast-paced, short duration projects within Florida. The Senior Inspector will primarily work independently on FDOT projects consisting of milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. They will interact on a daily basis with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel. This a terrific opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in inspection with upward mobility and long-term employment with a fast-growing program and employee-owned company.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalentA minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)Strong written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPosition will include some night, holiday, and weekend work, and qualified candidates must be willing to work as-needed on these occasions.This position requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
