Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Construction Manager - Tunnelling / Shaftworks to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a large project. (Typically a project having 2 to 5 million construction manhours or a total installed cost of $100 to $150 million.)

What You'll Be Doing:
Manage the development and implementation of drill and blast plansManage the Inspection and testing materials used in drilling and blasting/ tunneling operationsMonitoring and evaluating drilling and blasting processes to ensure compliance with regulationsCollaborating with the operations team to implement improvements in quality control proceduresWrites construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Interfaces with suppliers as required.Leads planning and delivery for the logistics transportation management of the program and ensures operational consistency across the program.Coordinate with other delivery partners, as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.Implement agreed strategies, through delivery of PMP’s and other key documents and approaches in accordance with program requirements and accepted best practice.Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.Leads on unusually complex material and people transportation challenges and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with functional leads.Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the program.Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required. Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Participates in development of job safety practices.Prepare the needed reports.Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Degree in Civil Engineering or with minimum 15 years’ experience on construction projects, specifically experience working on tunnel/shaft projects and related under and overground infrastructureAdvantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.Project Management Certified is a plus.Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
