What You Will Do:
The Senior Consultant – 508 Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide deep regulatory 508 Compliance expertise, as well as technical assessment and improvement of client 508 Compliance and Accessibility Program delivery. Candidates must be able to lead and support diverse teams across multiple engagements, interacting with senior and executive-level client stakeholders. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a critical member of project workstreams and support client management, solution implementation, and generation of project results. This includes working directly with client leads, supporting team members, and stakeholders to develop 508 Compliance project plans, conduct baseline evaluations and develop associated recommendations, implement improvements against recommendations, and develop relevant training materials and artifacts to support the 508 Compliance program.

This position will be expected to:
Conduct process assessments for Section 508 Compliance and provide recommendations for improvement
Establish a Section 508 compliance baseline for key client solutions and digital assets.
Revamp client Section 508/Digital Accessibility web pages and create a collaboration portal for enhanced compliance and user support (or direct IT resources in relevant 508 Compliance policy to do so).
Develop tailored guidance and quick reference guides to facilitate Section 508 compliance across diverse roles within a client organization.
Develop an on-demand Section 508 training program.
Convey proficiency using HHS Section 508 Program Office’s standardized checklist and best practices for MS Suite (PPT, Word, PDF, Excel, Website, etc.)
Create Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)
Demonstrate familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Demonstrate familiarity with accessibility standards within the Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR).
Develop and deploy 508 Compliance templates and tools and track best practices
Demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Work effectively with multiple clients or project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Track deficient 508 issues, generate 508 reports to stakeholders
Provide solutions and recommendations for addressing accessibility barriers identified during assessments
Proven experience conducting accessibility assessments following Section 508 and WCAG guidelines
Experience with accessibility assessment tools and assistive technologies.
Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy, problem-solve, and support decision-making
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, including planning and facilitating client meetings
Deliver high-quality client service in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
Identify and address client needs and build trusted relationships with clients
Collaborate and contribute as a team member: understanding personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback
What You Will Need:
Must hold a 4 (four-year) degree from an accredited college or university
Must have at least three years serving in a technical 508 Compliance (accessibility) role.
Strong facilitation and deliverable development experience, including 508 Compliance training deliverables
Project management proficiencies, including developing and implementing project plans, creating deliverable timelines/schedules, creating and evaluating technical assets and artifacts, and leading project tasks
Comfort interacting directly with organizational senior leadership, including receiving client requests and providing professional recommendations
Ability to develop meaningful and ongoing relationships with clients and team members
Creative problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a general consultancy mindset to help usher clients through extensive organization change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) at all levels in an organization

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
