What You’ll Be Doing
The Senior Consultant, Application Development will be working with Shared Platform Technology under ECIF and is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. Design and develop scalable and secure solutions to manage client data within ECIS domain, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., PII consent capture). Lead the modernization of legacy systems, supporting migration of the client data management applications to cloud-native environments on Azure or OpenShift. Leverage Solace for event-driven messaging to ensure real-time and reliable data synchronization across applications. Design, develop, and implement microservices using Java and Quarkus to enable seamless integration of client data services across the enterprise. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. Collaborate with business, compliance, and technical teams to ensure client data solutions meet regulatory standards while addressing business needs. The role makes technology selection decisions is often made in situations where business requirements are not fully defined.

How You’ll Succeed
Strategic Development & Execution: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap. Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
Domain Expertise: Bring deep knowledge of client data management systems and the complexities of maintaining PII and consent compliance.
Technical Expertise: Leverage expertise in Java, Quarkus, Oracle, ETL, and cloud platforms to design and implement robust solutions.
Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements
Collaboration and Leadership: Partner effectively with stakeholders across business and technology teams while mentoring and guiding development teams, ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 8-10+ years’ experience in. application development and solution design, with a focus on client data management.
Technology Expert. You bring hands-on expertise in Java, Quarkus, Oracle database, Solace, React, and cloud platforms like Azure or OpenShift. You have designed and deployed scalable microservices architecture, batch processes and understand event-drive and API based integrations.
Cloud Enthusiast. You are skilled in cloud-native development, migration, and modernization initiatives, particularly in Azure environments.
Regulatory Compliance Advocate. You understand the importance of data governance and privacy standards and can design systems to meet these requirements.
You embrace and champion change. You are passionate about being on top of technological trends. You will continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best.
You act like an owner. You thrive when you are empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
You have a degree/diploma: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You are confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
You love to learn. You are passionate about growing your knowledge, staying up to date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and trends in client data management and application design.
