Major Duties:

As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a highly technical level, specifically within the areas of IRS Tax Processing, backup withholding, W8/W9s documents and IRS B/C notices.Partners with compliance and control ensure adherence to applicable state and federal regulation including Tax, Unclaimed Property, Currency Transaction ReportingAssist in the development and implementation of new processes or systems to improve tax reporting efficiency.Strong control and risk management mindset. Will collaborate on cross-functional projects or programs including regulatory change, BC/DR and internal/external auditsRole is balanced between independent operational execution and opportunity to provide consulting expertise to internal partnersWill assist division with annual control requirements around application and vendor management


Knowledge and Capabilities:

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required with the ability to synthesize information into concise and structural outputIn-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required in areas of Tax Processing, Backup withholding and W8/9 processing, IRA AccountsKnowledge and experience with Banking products specifically including DDAs and IRAs and ReconcilementStrong technical abilities specifically related to ExcelHighly organized, able to adhere to stringent deadlines in a highly regulated environment

Salary Range:

$78,945 - 134,235 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
