SUMMARY:
The Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits (Major/Upper Middle Market) is a key member of HUB’s National Practice focused on large employers with complex employee benefit programs. This role will report directly into the Super Regional Employee Benefits President and National Practice Leader.
In this dynamic role, the consultant will work closely with their assigned regions’ practice and sales leaders, strategists, producers, and account teams on both existing and prospective employee benefit clients. In addition to the regional responsibilities, this role will help drive HUB’s national employee benefit strategies and innovation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop an expert understanding of HUB’s tools, technology, and processes.Collaborate with teams on identifying and implementing employee benefit strategies and solutions for large/national employer clients.Work closely with regional producers, strategists, and practice/sales leaders on prospective client opportunities including cross-sell within HUB’s other consulting practices. Proactively lead internal strategic planning “brainstorming” meetings for prospects and key clients.Engage with specialty practices as part of the strategic planning process.Contribute to developing and implementing best practices, innovation, and processes across the organization.Represent in an executive sponsorship capacity for clients.Serve as strategic consultant/account team leader for jumbo clients.Responsible for regional KPIs associated with client growth, retention, and satisfaction.Manage and present performance reports for leadership.Provide employee benefits and strategic consulting training and mentoring support.Establish and maintain relationships with carriers and vendor partners, staying informed about their products and services.Assist with internal and external facing employee benefit materials (white papers, presentations, marketing materials, etc.).May have direct report and/or other leadership responsibilities.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of experience working with large/national employers in an employee benefits brokerage/consulting role.Prior experience working directly with clients’ C-Suite and key employee benefit decision makers.Strong financial, underwriting and/or actuarial background in employee benefits.Ability to execute a strategic consulting approach including the knowledge and experience to successfully implement change management processes.Experience utilizing KPIs to measure performance.Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong proficiency utilizing and learning new tools, technology, and systems.Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or equivalent preferred).Life and Health insurance license required.Employee Benefits and/or HR designations and credentials (preferred).Required Travel: 25%-50%JOIN OUR TEAM

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado, California and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
