Senior Consultant is responsible for evaluating existing systems and/or new user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement information system changes.
Complete Description:
NJSDA Specific Responsibilities:
1. Participate in interviews with IT Staff and other special systems consultants (data, communications, and security systems) to identify and facilaite System Relocation taking into consideration system performance requirements throughout the data center relocation.
2. Review of architectural plan development and preliminary sizing and layout of MDF and IDF rooms
3. Input/review of plans as required to locate IT or special systems devices
4. Preparation of Performance and/or Technical Specifications including coordination with SDA Materials and Systems Standards
5. Review of outside design consultant submissions for conformance with SDA Systems Requirements & Standards
6. Consult with IT Department and assist in development and implementation of SDA network management or network upgrades
7. Experience with internal and external network monitoring and security
8. Experience with network design, maintenance and trouble-shooting for Cisco infrastructure including routers, bridges switches, firewalls
9. Experience with HP EVA 6100 configuration
10. Experience with HP and IBM file servers
11. data center relocation experience
Years of Relevant Experience: 8 to 11 years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study or advanced degree
