Senior Content Designer

The Microsoft 365 Core team is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Content Designer to help shape the future of intelligence-driven experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem. Our primary charters revolve around intelligent content discovery, Copilot assistance, and People profiles, which are woven into the fabric of Microsoft 365 core products. You will work across multiple disciplines and geographies, build strong relationships with other Microsoft product stakeholders, and impact the life of millions of people around the globe. We’re looking for a passionate user experience writer / **Senior Content Designer** who wants to use their gift to collaborate with a collective of designers, researchers, and engineers in shaping how we weave our experiences into the entire suite of Microsoft 365 products and communicate value to our partners and customers. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.  **Responsibilities** + Advocate for customers, using your love of words to create clear and meaningful experiences. + Design intuitive, delightful product experiences that help users accomplish their goals. + Emphasize the quality of AI responses to ensure that they effectively fulfill the intended tasks. + Define product vision and narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. + Demonstrate your ability to communicate complex ideas with content that is clear, natural, and conversational. + Work with the product and design team to create effective experiences that feel warm and clear. + Drive guidelines and best practices, manage complex, cross-functional projects, and work with leadership to set goals and implement roadmaps. + Work with people in a variety of UX design-related jobs including researchers, product managers, engineers, marketers, and business stakeholders. + Champion conversational, inclusive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. + Use empathy, logic, and hard data to inform content choices, and provide content recommendations that include the right words with complementary data and images. + Create empathetic communications and intuitive, innovative, products that people love. + Learn and understand our customers’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Humanities, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design, copywriting, technical writing, writing (e.g. for marketing, advertising, e-commerce), brand design, or brand marketing + OR Master's Degree in Arts, Humanities, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND 2+ years experience working in product or service design + OR equivalent experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + 4+ years of experience in user-focused product writing including work in hardware, software, digital agencies, or other relevant product areas. + Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects. + A portfolio demonstrating breadth, creativity, and experience in content writing, storytelling and/or UX writing. Please indicate your specific roles and contributions for each project submitted as part of the portfolio. + Experience developing information architecture for complex product suites. + Experience with conversational UI and AI technology. + Experience writing and publishing help and how-to content. + Experience writing user experience text. + Familiarity with user experience research principles and practices and how to use data to provide informed insights. + Ability to lead, collaborate and influence (without formal authority) engineering, design, and product management teams. + Experience with localization and accessibility best practices. \#M365CORE Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
