ABOUT THE ROLE

Downer is one of Australia’s largest and most experienced contractors to the transmission and renewable energy sector, delivering power systems projects nationally for both utility and private developers. Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and proactive Senior Contract Administrator who is looking to play a part in energy transition and decarbonisation efforts. 

Please note, this is a site-based opportunity working from our project location in Mildura, NSW. We are seeking applications from individuals who have previously worked FIFO and are willing to partake in a 20/8 roster (open to various residence locations). In return the role will receive an attractive salary package, plus Project uplift and Camp Allowance/LAFHA. 

Some key responsibilities include;

Providing commercial leadership and advice to project team members on site issues, events and other contractual matters. Administration of the Head Contract, including the drafting, management and negotiation of head contract commercial/contractual claims and correspondence with the client.  Prepare, review and manage subcontract agreements with suppliers and subcontractors. Build strong positive relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

Tertiary qualification in law, construction management, business or similar is preferred. Experience in a contract administration or commercial site-based role within the Power industry is advantageous.  Ability to prepare, negotiate and administer various forms of supply/subcontract agreements.  Willing and able to work on a 20/8 FIFO roster based in Mildura, NSW.  Excellent communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders in a complex project environment.
