Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Routine interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, and management staff across the organization. Perform & present detailed analysis and prepare comprehensive reports to support business operations. (internal and external use.) Monitor and coordinate activities to manage operational performance (e.g., safety, reliability, service level, productivity, etc.) Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation’s business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs). Implements and ensures ComEd Contractors are informed of company and departmental policies, initiatives, procedures & guidelines. Develop and implement sourcing strategies with ComEd contractor community. Participate and manage sourcing teams dedicated to providing optimal quality at the lowest price. Develop request for proposals and facilitate award process. Maintains an environment that promotes safety, diversity, and high productivity. Assistance with Condition and Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE) reports. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Governance & Oversight to scope change management/amendments, contractor release/payment processing, contractor safety, contractor bid solicitation and contractor dispute resolution. Position may be required to support one or more areas within Distribution, T&S, Engineering, Environmental or Locating. Manage key alliance partner relationships and implementation of respective contracts governed by Supply Regular contact with Operations/Engineering/T&S/Environmental/Project Managers & Supervisors Coach contractors on ComEd expectations and communicate effectively with all ComEd departments regarding contractor relationships. Develop, implement, evaluate, or lead projects & initiatives. (e.g., business plan or process improvement initiatives). Provide broad analytical and operation support to the business unit Monitor and coordinate activities to manage operational performance (safety, reliability, service level, productivity) and make recommendations for improvement to Contractor and Management Educate job owners requiring contracted services requirements of the contracting process Job Scope JOB SCOPE Directs a workforce of Contracting crews and/or Craft employees. Performs safety audits, meetings, investigations, and employee reviews. Directs the crews engaged in the execution of the preventative/corrective maintenance activities within assigned regional operating area. Provides input into the planning, implementation and execution of the C&M maintenance and reliability programs. Responsible for implementing labor strategies involving employees covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Determines manpower and equipment requirements necessary for scheduled and emergent operating work to ensure maximum utilization of construction crews. Actions have direct impact on reliability and customer satisfaction goals, the public, political, and regulatory opinion of the company. Regular contact with, C&M Managers, Dispatching, Operating Managers & Supervisors (both Distribution and T&S), work week managers (both Distribution and T&S), planners (Operating and M&C), local union stewards, and other employees of ComEd including community relations personnel, engineering, and energy services organizations. Other contacts include major industrial customers connected to ESS sites and various municipality organizations (fire, police etc). Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5 - 8 years internal utility company experience (e.g., ComEd, PECO, PHI), or equivalent external experience Demonstrated knowledge of operating, construction work practices including Underground and/or Overhead as well as Collective Bargaining Agreement. Demonstrated ability to support and enforce safe work behavior via knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of regulatory issues. Demonstrate knowledge of budget development and financial management. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills in a high-performance culture. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance. Demonstrated business and utility financial acumen, customer awareness, and ability to create value. Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business or closely related discipline Strong people skills and ability to thrive in team environment, innovative, creative and takes initiative Computer literate in Microsoft Applications, Asset Suite 8 and PowerBI Strong technical writing, oral communication, and negotiating skills Independent worker and provides mentoring to less experienced colleagues Project Management experience Ability to develop and deliver presentations to external and/or internal audience Sourcing experience (sole and minority vendors) Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $81,600.00/Yr. - USD $122,400.00/Yr.
