The Job At-A-Glance
As a Senior Contract Manager at Q2, you are interested in working for a fast-paced, high-growth company where you enjoy being challenged and can put your savvy negotiation skills to good use. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing, redlining, drafting, and negotiating contracts for the Q2 sales team as well as interacting directly with customers and prospects daily. You will report to the Senior Director of Contract Operations joining a welcoming and engaging Legal Team that will provide you with meaningful collaboration. With your great communication skills and top-notch work ethic, you will be a key part of the team.

A Typical Day:

Assess and advise on liabilities and legal restrictions and risks of proposed transactions with prospective and existing customer financial institutions and devise creative and practical solutions to address such customers’Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of customer agreements, including SAAS subscription, software licensing, support services, consulting services, and/or nondisclosure agreementsInterface with various groups within Q2 to understand key IT, security IP, compliance and finance requirements and ensure commercial contract terms comply with corporate directives, policies and proceduresInteract with Chief Compliance Officer to keep abreast of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact operations and subscription and license agreementsCollaborate and partner effectively with the business, including providing advice and counsel to executives and sales professionals on issues related to subscription and licensing transactionsAssist in day-to-day sales activities, including providing training and counseling to sales professionals and coordinating with other groups within the Q2 Legal Department on compliance mattersAssist with legal department projects as assignedResponsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.At least 3-7 years of transactional legal experience comprised of time spent at a major law firm or in-house with a high-tech company. In-house legal experience is preferred.High volume commercial transactions experience with a software company of similar size and scale to Q2, including experience with subscription and licensing sales agreementsAn excellent negotiator with strong influencing skills experienced at drafting commercial contractsDemonstrated capability in creating and negotiating complex transactions in addition to typical sales agreementsA practical and proactive problem-solver who possesses strong business acumen and is confident, mature and calm under fireMust be able to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment, but be focused when needed on the matter at handExcellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skillsMust be able to work effectively both independently and with a team with the highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
