**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Sr. Controller, you’ll oversee the department that develops and delivers ledgers, financial reporting, and accounting compliance procedures.
This job is part of the Controlling job function. This group oversees the management of the organization's financial controls including accounting records (general, property, cost, etc.), budgetary and other systems for internal control, and preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff. Set and track staff deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Set department deadlines.
+ Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and leadership members to ensure service levels are being met.
+ Play an instrumental role in department or corporate initiatives. Support business process improvements and make recommendations. Assist with the implementation of project plans.
+ Review departmental processes to ensure maximum efficiencies, conformity to internal policies and procedures and supporting internal controls.
+ Oversee day to day operations of the accounting functional area. This includes preparation of income statements, balance sheets and financial reports.
+ Review staff outputs to ensure completion, accuracy and timely release to internal departments and external clients.
+ Verify compliance with financial transaction recording standards and general accounting requirements/principles.
+ Review budgets and annual year-end recovery calculations.
+ Oversee the audit of journal entries, accounting classifications, documenting variances and path to reconciliation.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ **Bachelors' emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required.**
+ **15+ years prior accounting, finance or related experience required including prior supervisory experience.**
+ **Expert problem solving and communication skills.**
+ **Advanced knowledge of accounting fundamentals and policies.**
+ **Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.**
+ **Working knowledge of Management Agreements and scope of services.**
+ **General knowledge of accounting to coordinate both routine and complex general procedures.**

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Controller position is $170,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Controller position is $180,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
