Job Description
This individual will be responsible for seeing projects from start to finish in regards to programming all control systems. They will begin with receiving the engineering specifications and schematic orders, conducting meetings with customers and internal teams, and then designing and programming all systems within custom machines. They will reference previous libraries of software, but all machines are custom-built for repeat customers. Responsibilities include designing schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatics in AutoCAD Electrical, programming PLC code, and utilizing SCADA/Ignition software systems to finalize and ship the machine to the customer. This role focuses mainly on the polyurethane side of the business and requires some travel within North America.
ResponsibilitiesReceive engineering specifications and schematic orders.Conduct meetings with customers and internal teams.Design and program control systems for custom machines.Design schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatics in AutoCAD Electrical.Program PLC code.Utilize SCADA/Ignition software systems to finalize and ship machines to customers.Focus on projects related to manufacturing foam sheets for medical applications, processing materials for submarines, developing sustainable flooring materials, and manufacturing children's furniture.Essential SkillsPLC programming from scratch.AutoCAD design from scratch.Experience with Ignition/SCADA software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SQL servers.Experience with MRP systems.Willingness to learn Optics SCADA software.Work Environment
The work environment includes an updated office space and an average shop floor. The role involves spending 70% of the time behind a desk and 30% on the floor. There will be up to 10% travel to customer facilities, all within North America. The company offers a low-travel requirement, 40-45 work weeks, and a laid-back, family-owned atmosphere.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $64.00
