Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description The individual will be responsible for performing complete system engineering for industrial automation projects, including component selection and sizing. The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of motor drives, PLCs, automation equipment, machine safety, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities + Perform complete system engineering for industrial automation projects. + Select and size components for automation systems. + Program and troubleshoot PLCs, including Allen-Bradley systems. + Design and implement safety systems, including schematics and panel layouts. + Provide client support from project inception to completion. + Engage in custom machine design. + Collaborate with teams during equipment build to provide floor support. Essential Skills + PLC programming + Allen-Bradley troubleshooting + 8+ years of experience in industrial control system applications with PLC, HMI, and industrial automation systems + 8 years of experience in electrical design and safety system designs + Experience in creating schematics and panel layouts + Experience in control systems applications from project start to completion Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in fluid design with pneumatic and hydraulic schematics systems + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) + Willingness to work overtime to meet project commitments + Occasional travel (20% or less) required for customer site work Work Environment The work environment is primarily an office setting with occasional overtime required to meet customer commitments. The candidate should also be willing to be on the floor while teams are building the equipment to provide support. The standard working hours are 8-5, Monday through Friday. Travel constitutes around 20%, involving 3-5 day trips for project implementation and end-user support. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $60.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
