Senior Coordinator, Legal Support

The opportunity

We are looking for a driven and self-disciplined Sr. Coordinator who will provide advanced technical administrative support to the Legal Team. 

The motivated candidate will work with c-suite executives, attorneys and executive legal staff through a pool-based support model. The successful candidate will be required to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, screen and prioritize communications from internal and external sources, and ensure exceptional quality work.  Critical thinking is the key to success in this position.  Must be able to anticipate the needs of the Legal Team and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Draft and improve correspondence and presentations (working extensively in Microsoft Office). Serve as liaison with staff from other organization functions as well as external clients and customers.Handle sensitive/confidential information requiring a high level of discretion.Develop a good working relationship with all levels of staff in all departments.Review expense reports for ensuring appropriate coding and expenses are in line with Company travel and expense policy.Manage travel arrangements and proactively coordinate the pre-planning of trips including securing visas, hotels, transportation, processing passport renewals and other information as needed. Drafting and editing of contracts and ancillary contractual documents at the direction of assigning attorneys.Prepare and process department purchase orders and invoices.Prepare and process contract approvals in accordance with applicable policies.Support other legal team activities as needed.

 What you need to succeed: 

 

Bachelor’s degree and commensurate professional and technical experience of 5 years minimum required. Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Word, Adobe, Teams, etc.).Experience managing an intranet web page preferred.Knowledge of Peoplesoft and Concur a plus.Advanced analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.Excellent editing, written, and verbal communications skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment, while demonstrating the ability to quickly solve problems using sound judgment.Focused, dedicated, and organized with strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Able to establish and manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with ability to work and collaborate with teammates at all levels. Arrange and reserve conference rooms, catering, audio visual and telephony equipment for meetings and conferences as requested.Collection of information in a timely matter and verifying the accuracy and completeness of data submissions and forms required. Ability to cross-train colleagues to provide seamless team support to others in the department.Professional discretion exhibited at all times. Work is performed in the Sandy Springs office.  Minimum of 3 days per week in the office, hours are between 8 am – 6 pm.   Smurfit Westrock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
