Senior Coordinator, Operations Support
Your Opportunity as Senior Operations Support Coordinator
Collaborate with the Plant Human Resources team on administrative, operational activities, and support for the needs of Plant Leadership and employees. Serve as the main contact for Leave Coordination, Attendance & Discipline Management and Tracking, operational reporting, and hourly recruiting processes. Assist and lead company events and community engagement. Serve as a back-up for payroll processing as needed.

Location: Orrville, OH Plant

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

In this role you will:

Perform all recruiting activities for entry level hourly employees including sourcing, screening, interviewing, etc.Assist Associate Human Resources Manager with labor contract expectations including job posting, bidding process, disciplinary process, etc.Assist Human Resources Manager on activities related to the organizational pillar of the Smucker Quality Management System (SQMS)Manage one-time payment process for employee safety equipment reimbursementsWork with Corporate leaves department on current plant leaves, including communicating to plant management on status updatesReport out finished cases, review yield variances, and catch abnormalitiesCoordinate New Hire Orientation process for all new plant employees (hourly and salary)Lead the Plant Tour process including scheduling, equipment, serving as a tour guide, etc.Keep plant office supplies stocked, work with quality to ensure supplies in stock are compliantWork with outside vendors on scheduling, invoice management, and building vendor relationshipsManage multiple ad-hoc projects as delegated by Human Resources ManagerDraft functional communication materials for Operations/Plant HR

Minimum Requirements:

Associate degree or equivalent HR / payroll work experienceDemonstrates a high degree of diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretionStrong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to effectively multi-task and meet deadlinesAbility to excel in a team-based environment, demonstrating collaboration and teamworkAble to problem-solve, manage stressful situations, and act with a sense of urgencyWillingness to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organizationWillingness to occasionally work off-shifts or weekends as needed

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

Experience with Enterprise software (Oracle/Workday)Proficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsSelf-motivated and can work accurately and independently with minimal direct supervisionBuilds effective relationships and collaborates both internally and externallyIdentifies improvement opportunities and implements changeEffective presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and social skills
