What Is the Opportunity?

Aecon's Urban Transportation Solutions (UTS) Continuous Improvement (CI) Team is looking to hire a Senior Project Coordinator on a full-time basis. This Senior Project Coordinator will support the CI team from the head office and assist in overall planning and coordinating to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Additionally, the Senior Project Coordinator will support the UTS leadership team in new initiatives to consolidate our best practices and consolidate our approach to improve our capabilities given the shifting landscape.

 

What You Will Do Here:

Work with discipline leadership and subject matter experts to support the development and collection of standardized processes, tools, systems, and templates required on projects. Collaborate with discipline leaders to develop an Aecon standard way of managing UTS projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the UTS project management methodologies into the overall organizational framework. Participate in cross-functional workshops to develop new content. Create detailed documentation, guidelines, and training materials to facilitate the understanding and adoption of the newly developed UTS project management methodologies. Track progress of discipline activities ensuring progress plan achievement. Review and provide feedback of existing & developing CI content. Work with document control ensuring strict governance of document management guidelines. Identify risks to progress and suggest mitigating actions for resolution. Report to Senior Management on status, accomplishments, deliverables, upcoming plans, risk, and integration needs. Participate in governance meetings for support of discipline planning and reporting activities. Perform other duties as required. What You Will Bring to the Team

Engineering / Engineering Technologist / Construction Technology Diploma, Degree, or Post-grad Certificate required. Has 4-6 years of experience working in the infrastructure industry. Experience deploying best practices to enable improved project outcomes and high-performing team enablers. Preferred experience with large, complex projects and Joint Ventures with multiple interfaces preferred. Able to engage with the team and manage project support outcomes. Strong communication skills – oral and written. Self-motivated with good organizational skills. Ability to work independently, accurately, and under pressure. Ability to see a task from conception to implementation. Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. Sound computer skills – MS Office Suite, SharePoint, P6, Mural / Miro, AutoCAD, Visio. Experience using Power Apps and Power BI is an asset. Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
