Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have an exclusive partnership with a national real estate development organization for a Senior Corporate Accountant position.This position will work closely with the Corporate Controller who is an amazing leader that thrives on coaching, mentoring and developing his accounting team! As Senior Corporate Accountant you will be a key member of the accounting department, responsible for managing corporate accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements for corporate entities.
+ Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnotes.
+ Oversee intercompany accounting and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
+ Coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
+ Review and ensure accuracy of corporate tax returns and related filings.
+ Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management processes.
+ Develop and implement accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, construction, and legal, to provide accounting support for various projects.
+ Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for management, including variance analysis and forecasting.
+ Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
+ Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or corporate accounting role.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with corporate financial reporting.
+ Previous experience in the real estate development industry is highly preferred.
+ Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems with MRI or Yardi is a plus.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work well under pressure.
+ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Possession of a university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Active CPA or CPA eligibility
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting role, preferably in the financial services industry
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Expertise in managing general ledger and journal entries
• Experience with month-end close activities and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software such as MRI and Yardi
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
