Senior Corporate Accountant

This key role will oversee financial consolidation, elimination entries, financial statements, regulatory filings, and select operational accounting functions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment across multiple geographical divisions while managing audits and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and record transactions and journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.Proactively manage month-end and quarter-end reporting requirements.Communicate with auditors and oversee compliance with financial controls.Handle payroll-related accounting processes for Canadian operations.Assist with special projects as required.Month/Period-End ProcessEnsure timely month-end closing within five business days, including corporate and intercompany entries.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline closing timelines.Review and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.Support the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Oversee consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.Financial Statement PreparationLead the preparation of financial statements and related regulatory filings.Ensure financial reporting aligns with company-wide standards and across divisions.Develop and implement consolidated reporting processes.Prepare or review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.Draft financial memos addressing significant accounting matters and compliance requirements.Oversee the transfer of financial data from satellite offices to the head office for consolidation.Qualifications & Skills:CPA designation required with a minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting firm.Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and their application.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).Experience with Microsoft Business Central is an asset.Background in audit processes, internal controls, and financial documentation.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.This is a great opportunity to be a key contributor to a growing organization while expanding your expertise in corporate finance.
