Your Team, Your Impact
Marvell Technology is seeking a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in leading and supporting our Corporate Accounting organization within our Global GL and Consolidation team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching technical accounting guidance, ensuring proper US GAAP treatment, preparing memos and policies, preparing/reviewing reconciliations and journal entries with support and contributing to the financial reporting process, and be the primary host to our general ledger ERP. This position will be based at our Santa Clara headquarters.What You Can Expect
Manage monthly corporate worldwide financial close activities.Prepare technical accounting journal entries and account reconciliations.Review and approve journal entries prepared by team members.Research and prepare technical accounting memos to support unique financial transactionsEnsure the accurate and timely completion of worldwide consolidations.Review and analyze monthly financial fluxes to ensure accuracy and identify significant variances Research and evaluate business activities to determine appropriate GAAP treatment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, and Operations, to ensure proper revenue recognition and resolve any issues - provide input and guidance on complex customer contract issues.Evaluate customer contracts as needed in conjunction with revenue accounting guidance to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.Prepare technical accounting memorandums and policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards.Provide input and guidance on complex accounting issues in various areas, including but not limited to equity, debt, software development and purchases, etc.Assist with Oracle general ledger automation projects, including consolidation and external reporting GL views. Automate and standardize FX remeasurement processes in Oracle.Execute internal controls related to SOX compliance activities.Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making processes. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with external auditors.What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.8+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting with a minimum 3 years Big 4 public accounting US GAAP financial audit experience.Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition. Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls. Proficiency in Oracle general ledger systems is a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.An effective leader and team player who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly accurate, thorough, with strong attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership. Someone who consistently goes the extra mile.A problem solver who is collaborative, proactive, responsive, and reliable.Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
123,000 - 184,200, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
