Our client has experienced significant growth across the Canadian market over the past few years and is backed by one of the largest PE funds in the world! This role also reports directly to the CFO!\r\n

Requirements:\r\nExcellent knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.\r\nProven experience leading and owning an effective month-end accounting close, as well as running an efficient year-end audit process.\r\nProven experience identifying accounting policy and\/or internal control deficiencies and developing (and implementing) appropriate solutions.\r\nFully own the integrity of financial data while delivering accurate financial information to management.\r\nSomeone who can lead process improvements and streamline the consolidation and external reporting processes while improving information quality.\r\nPrevious experience completing the consolidation and compilation of financial statements, management discussion and analysis (MD&A) and footnote disclosures.\r\nExcellent skills working with accounting, reporting, KPIs and data analytics software.\r\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.\r\nPrevious experience leading a team, and well-honed project management skills.\r\nExemplary communication, presentation skills with a positive can-do attitude. Confident, articulate, and reliable with great emotional maturity. \r\nAbility to quickly evaluate key risks, opportunities, and problem-solve, with an inherent critical thinking mindset.\r\n\r\n

Nice-to-haves:\r\nData analytic skills such as PowerBI, dashboarding, and KPI creation are all assets. \r\nDirect experience in an accounting environment that utilized Percentage of Completion revenue recognition (including appropriate WIP accounts) is an asset.\r\nExperience with M&A acquisition accounting (purchase price accounting) is an asset.\r\n\r\n
