Amazon’s Legal Department is seeking a talented and experienced product safety and compliance attorney to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS provides Innovative cloud computing services and IT infrastructure to public and private clients around the globe, including on-demand compute capacity, data storage, machine learning, and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Legal Regulatory Risk Management & Compliance team, focusing on product safety and compliance across a diverse array of hardware in AWS’s global data center infrastructure. You will be part of a team that counsels Amazon’s cloud business on a broad range of regulatory, sustainability, environmental, trade, safety and compliance matters.

Key job responsibilities
- Working cross-functionally with business and technical teams to shape our operational compliance strategy
- Advising the business on trends and upcoming regulatory changes and how to influence them
- Driving global harmony across program areas
- Counseling compliance partner teams on cross-regional issues that arise throughout the supply chain and infrastructure life cycle (from region expansion to operations and decommissioning)
- Advising on regulations concerning the design, development, manufacture, procurement, distribution, use and disposition of novel data center equipment and innovative devices
- Working directly with various AWS business functions, including supply chain, procurement, design, engineering, product safety, construction and operations
- Collaborating with attorneys across the globe (and throughout Amazon) to develop innovative solutions
