Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel, who would be part of our Labor and Employment team. This person would practice in the area of Labor & Employment law as follows:
Be a trusted legal advisor on a wide range of areas, including, hiring, employee relations, leaves and disability accommodation, and terminationsWorking with and advising business clients directly, as well as providing guidance and practical solutions for various labor and employment law issues in a fast-paced environmentDeveloping an innovative approach to legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgementRespond to and manage pre-litigation claims, agency charges and litigationAssisting outside counsel in responding to discovery and developing defense strategies including consideration of early resolutionIdentify legal requirements and risks and help determine how to sensibly respond to themConduct training sessions for employees and human resources professionals on labor & employment issuesReview and provide mentorship on drafting and development of Human Resources policies and procedures Assist with affirmative action planning and provide OFCCP audit support.
