As a leader in RDQ, you are a senior technical resource and internal expert in areas of critical importance to organization who regularly interacts with senior management. You apply your broad technical knowledge and in-depth knowledge of your technical specialty to identify, define and solve complex business problems.
**How you will contribute**
You will be responsible for leading and conducting audits across various departments and functions within the organization to assess compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards. This involves conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. Closely partnering with various departments to implement and monitor quality initiatives, ensuring that the company's products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Develop audit plans, methodologies and schedules based on risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate adherence to internal quality standards (e.g., OQS, SQE) and external regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA).
Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations for management review.
Maintain accurate audit records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Communicate audit results to stakeholders and management, ensuring clarity and action.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Support cross-functional teams in training, implementing quality management best practices and compliance strategies.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
Analyze audit data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Mentor and train junior auditors on audit techniques, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

+ Knowledge of quality systems (HACCP, ISO9001 and FSSC22000)
+ Microbiology and food safety and sanitation experience
+ Handling multiple tasks and prioritize

+ Statistical processes and problem-solving techniques
+ Business acumen and influencing and negotiating
+ Auditing certification or equivalent experience is a decided advantage

+ Possess in-depth knowledge of the industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to their field. This includes familiarity with ISO/GFSI standards, FDA regulations or other industry-specific quality standards. Proficiency in audit methodologies, tools, and techniques.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
+ Understanding of risk management principles and how they apply to quality audits.
+ Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, using audit findings as opportunities to drive positive change and enhance overall quality and compliance.
+ Ability to work in diverse and multicultural environments.
+ Involved in training junior auditors on quality standards, auditing techniques, and compliance requirements to ensure awareness and understanding across the organization.
**Education / Certifications:**
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional certifications: Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Lead Auditor, or ISO 22000/ FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor are highly preferred
**Job specific requirements:**
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality auditing or manufacturing; includes hands-on involvement in quality assurance, control, and auditing processes.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and manage relationships
+ Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience leading audit teams or managing audit projects.
**Travel requirements:**
Requires travel (less than 75%) to various company locations and facilities.
The base salary range for this position is $95,100 to $130,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
