The Senior Corporate Quality Manager is responsible for developing, deploying, and managing programs, projects, and processes related to product quality and continuous improvement directives across the enterprise. The Senior Corporate Quality Manager increases customer satisfaction and reduces business risk throughout the product lifecycle by supporting new product launches, supply chains, manufacturing, assembly, service, quality management systems, and compliance. The Senior Corporate Quality Manager serves as the subject matter expert pertaining to product quality, quality principles, methods, disciplines, systems, requirements, and tools plus trains company personnel in these as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or educational equivalent;
7 years of progressive quality improvement experience in similar work environment;
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage quality-focused projects including effective project management, coordination and deployment of resources, and writing and delivering reports;
Monitor, analyze, report, and effectively use quality data to increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk;
Drive root cause analyses and problem solving utilizing Generac Quality Management System processes, LEAN methodology, and statistical tools;
Lead and manage external quality issues and field campaigns to positive customer results;
Mentor and guide project team members to deliver on quality requirements and project results;
Coordinate and prioritize customer quality projects across multiple business groups or regions;
Lead and manage escalated external quality issues and field campaigns with significant commercial impact to positive customer results;
Support quality system improvement initiatives in sites that increase maturity of the Generac Manufacturing System;
Conduct improvement-focused internal and external quality audits.
Identify and support closing gaps in the quality management system in alignment with the corporate quality team;
Develop system improvements that drive quality performance of the Generac Manufacturing System
Present quality-related information to internal and external stakeholders;
Present quality improvement project data to customers in support of the business needs;
Coordinate communication activities that highlight and publicize plans, goals and results.
Serve as a conduit for the flow of information, the sharing of best practices and external benchmarks.
Clearly understand and document customers’ definition and expectation of quality and cascade to operations and program team members.
Support team in departmental communications, planning, budgets and executive meeting preparation and follow-up;
Prepare project status reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
