Reporting to the Vice President of Finance the Sr. Cost Accountant is responsible for managing the Company’s accounting books, records and general ledgers, and for reporting financial data in the form, content and frequency required by Company management and by Veralto Corporate Finance. The individual directly or indirectly supervises of a staff comprised of accountants and accounting clerks.  

This position is part of the Finance team located in Hemet, CA and will be onsite.  

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Cost Accounting:

Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead. Develop and maintain standard costs for products. Perform variance analysis and provide insights on cost drivers.Prepare and review cost of goods sold (COGS) reports. Support inventory management and control processes.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to cost accounting.

General Ledger Accounting:

Manages the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles, including the review of account analyses and reconciliations, ensuring that financial statements and all supporting documentation are timely, accurate, complete, and in compliance with GAAP and Veralto Finance policies and procedures.Prepare and post journal entries.Reconcile GL accounts and resolve discrepancies Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

 Reporting and Analysis:

Provides Company management and Veralto Corporate Finance with standard financial reports and supporting analysis with the required frequency and timeliness.Provides ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.Is the point of contact for balance sheet reviews and internal audits initiated by Veralto Corporate and/or the Water Quality Platform finance leadership.
 

Internal Controls:

Designs, implements, and manages the Company’s internal control policies and procedures.

The essential requirements of the job include:

BS/BA in Accounting is required.A minimum of 8 years progressive accounting experience in  a  manufacturing  environment  is  required
with extensive knowledge and experience in general ledger accounting, payroll accounting, cost accounting, receivables, payables and credit & collectionsExperience with Oracle or Oracle Fusion preferredDemonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and financial statement reporting and analysis is required

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 USD per year.
