Senior Cost Accountant
Job Title: Cost AccountantJob Description We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. This role involves performing month-end reporting, project accounting, sales and margin analysis, and fixed asset accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong cost accounting knowledge and experience, as well as proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products. Responsibilities + Perform month-end close for Inventory/Purchasing and Accounts Receivable close and reconciliation. + Conduct project accounting including monthly review of margins and processing. + Analyze sales and margins. + Process month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and recharges. + Handle fixed asset accounting. + Reconcile month-end bookings and balance sheet reconciliations. + Manage and own the standard costing system. + Perform data analysis for cost and manufacturing within the business. + Execute any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Strong cost accounting knowledge and experience. + General knowledge of accounting policies. + High proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products. + Clear and concise communication skills. + Ability to challenge the norm and look for better solutions and processes. + Experience with Tier 1 ERP, BPC, and SAP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS or BA Degree in a relevant field. + 5-7 years of relevant experience. Work Environment This position requires on-site work in a publicly traded company with a multi-billion dollar organization. The role is a 5-month contract.
