Providing technical leadership in creating and establishing cost processes and procedures. Preparing and maintaining client budgets for projects and/or programs. Managing the vetting and recording of costs for projects. Reviewing and analyzing project invoices. Monitoring cost history to develop trends and forecast cost at completion. Establishing and tracking contingency funds. May mentor, direct, and oversee the work of earlier career staff.
What You’ll Do:
Leads budget/cost management duties for moderate to large programs/projects. Supports the development and maintenance of complex budgets. Manages program and project-level budgeting implementation, including tracking of contingency distributions.Supports clients by preparing and managing client budgets, costs, forecasts, and contingencies for large projects. Leads the management of all external costs for a project, including the work of HNTB, contractors and other consultants.Provides technical leadership in developing cost breakdown structure and chart of accounts for project.Provides technical leadership in establishing processes and procedures related to project cost management.Oversees setup and initial loading of baseline budget into budget management system. Tracks or oversees tracking of all budget, commitment, and expenditure transactions.Identifies and tracks potential cost issues/overruns and investigates anomalies in budgets and actual expenditures.Oversees the generation of standard and ad hoc reports including budget reports, forecast-at-completion estimates, and other reports as needed.Generates or oversees the generation of cash flow forecasts in alignment with project schedules. Tracks multiple funding source distribution and drawdown.Supports or leads the quantitative cost risk analysis workshops.Participates in client presentations as required.Mentors Cost Analysts I, II and III if applicable and may serve as technical lead.Performs other duties as assigned.What You’ll Need:
Associate's degree in Construction Management or Accounting and 9 years relevant experience, orIn lieu of education, 11 years of relevant experienceWhat We Prefer:
AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalentExperience in 2 or more phases of project lifecycle (e.g., predesign, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases)Experience in project controls on large multi-year capital programs.Additional Information
