Responsibilities:
· Providing legal counsel to partners regarding various products and services offered through Treasury Management, at times in conjunction with PNC financial technology partners and affiliates.
· Negotiating treasury management contracts with small, commercial, and government clients.
· Staying up to date with and providing legal counsel regarding compliance with laws, regulations, and rules dealing with financial services, including familiarity and experience with legal issues arising out of various cash management services and payment regulations, (e.g., Reg. D, E, and CC).
· Providing advice regarding key regulatory issues and trends and assisting with developing business strategy, accordingly.
· Collaborating with teams within PNC, including product, client support, operations, technology, compliance, risk, and other PNC Legal partners, on issues related to product development, enhancements and/or sales.
· Assisting with drafting and reviewing client-facing documents, including product specific disclosures, and when applicable related process documents.
· Assisting with the review of treasury management related vendor contracts.
· Reviewing risk policies applicable to internal business partners and advising regarding same.
· Committed to building effective and efficient processes for legal engagement and continued support.
· Familiarity with payment networks beneficial.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and credentials:
· J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
· Currently licensed to practice in the courts of one or more states.
· A minimum of eight years of experience, with at least five years representing financial institutions in the treasury management area. Must have demonstrated ability to fulfill designated responsibilities.
· Demonstrated strong judgment, sound decision-making and solid legal analysis and oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with line of business managers and other attorneys.
· Uses knowledge of legislation, regulations and case law affecting practice area in order to think strategically, provide practical legal advice, develop policies and practices and ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
· Has ability to represent PNC effectively in interaction with external counsel for PNC and with counsel for representing other parties.
· Ability to think strategically to identify trends and risks, and ability to facility and implement solutions.
· Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as appropriate.Job DescriptionPerforms significant and complex legal work while regularly interacting with management.
