The Industrial & Energy Technology  (IET) is a leader in designing, manufacturing, testing, and installing Gas Technology solutions that serve the entire gas value chain including on/offshore, pipeline, LNG, gas storage and gas distribution.

As the Senior Counsel GTE Americas, you will:

Be responsible for GTE Americas legal and compliance strategy Be the focal point for LNG globallyBe the focal point to key decarbonization solutions for the natural gas industry, including BrushPrepare and negotiate agreements including supply agreements, investment/financing agreements, complex project agreements Strategically partner with business stakeholders to manage risk Provide advice on matters of local law across the region, in particular on public procurement laws, competition laws and integrity laws (anti-bribery and anti-corruption).Interface with Americas customers, business partners, and government agencies.Support, train and mentor sales and commercial teams on legal and compliance issuesManage, and/or work together with other Legal Groups to manage region litigation, including determination of reserves/accruals and reporting thereof.Monitor new legislation and changes to existing legislation

To be successful in this role you will have:

JD (or equivalent) with active bar membershipExtensive experience at a large, preferably international, law firm or multinational company’s corporate legal department working on a variety of commercial / business legal matters in the region, including previous experience of drafting, negotiating and closing complex business transactionsEffective oral and written communication skills and strategic thinkingAbility to manage complex issues and work in a collaborative environmentCustomer focused, entrepreneurial, self-reliant and engagedCollaborative team playerAbility to provide creative and compliant solutions while juggling multiple prioritiesInitiative to take on new challenges and lead change in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills
