This position plays a key role in the Data Administration function, contributing to systems development, data acquisition, quality assurance, governance, and in-depth analysis. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Assist in developing, maintaining, and administrating data management systems, including applications, hardware, and databases. + Participate in data acquisition, preparation, and quality control, ensuring it meets organizational standards and governance requirements. + Collaborate with team members on a variety of projects, helping to develop computer programs to manage data, improve data quality, and streamline the flow of information between systems and end-users. + Monitor server backups, review logs, and help identify opportunities for process improvement in data management operations. + Support data transmission and processing efforts, ensuring end-users can effectively send and receive data using computer programs and tools. + Process data, prepare research datasets, generate statistical reports, and maintain data dictionaries for internal and external stakeholders. + Respond to ad hoc data requests and provide ongoing support for various data-driven projects and unit activities. The ideal candidate should possess a fundamental understanding of counting principles and have experience with data scrubbing and validation techniques. Education and Training Guidelines Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, information technology or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience Special Qualifications:Proficiency in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) is preferred. Programming and analytical experience are also preferred. Experience with the R statistical package, Tableau visualization platform, and shell scripting automation is desirable.
