Senior Credit & Collection Analyst

The Senior Credit and Collections Analyst is accountable for investigating, reviewing, and approving credit applications within delegated authority with established policies. This role is responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate credit information. The senior analyst will review and verify overdue accounts, as well as contact costumers to confirm outstanding payments, and renew credit information to help minimize outstanding debts. 

What You Will Be Doing

Researches and evaluates customers' creditworthiness and analyzes creditworthiness of accounts (based on applicable processes). Partners with stakeholders (management, Sales, and Program Management) to monitor AR status, new customer creditworthiness, and continued monitoring of existing customers. Orders customers' certificate of insurance based on customer specifications. Provides management and oversight of credit management activities including authorizing credit exceptions. Creates and maintains documentation of credit applications and credit limits. Activates and deactivates accounts. Manages shared e-mail inboxes for multiple departments. Manages and completes finance tasks in different software applications. Completes accurate data entry and maintains spreadsheet tracking. Supports basic contract processing (Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and Change Orders with minimal terms and conditions). Supports credit & collections team members to determine payment and invoice discrepancies, monitors past due invoices, and makes collections calls. 

 

What We Are Looking For 

High-school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in credit and collections. 2 years experience with billing software and systems. Experience with Oracle preferred. Strong time management and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a high-volume environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
