We have an opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team!
The main purpose of this role is to take full ownership of the end-to-end premium receivable collections for broker accounts.
The role is part of a team of 3 based in Glasgow reporting to CGM Head of Credit Control.
The successful candidate will be experienced in managing a large account range of premium receivables within the Bureau / London Market. They will take ownership of a Chubb Global Markets (CGM) Broker portfolio for both Open Market and Binder business bound through the central settlement process. Managing premium receivables and ensuring bad debt exposure is kept to a minimum in line with set targets and guidelines.
You will need the ability to build strong business relationships with all CGM Underwriting departments, operations, brokers, Managing Agents, offshore BPO, and external suppliers with the expectation of maximising cash collection.
You will proactively manage and monitor overdue premium and unallocated cash performance for their account range, taking the lead on escalating collection issues with their internal and external stakeholders and working to attain solutions for their accounts. They will escalate collection issues to the CGM Head of Credit Control where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Due, Overdue and Inadmissible premium, results ensuring that any issues preventing attainment are escalated to the CGM Head of Credit Control. Undertake the management of a Major Account Portfolio and be responsible for the collection of outstanding debt, oversight of all cash reconciliation and building lasting business relationships. Monitor broker performance against TOBAs. Engage with external and internal contacts to drive process improvements which will improve collection performance. Work with and support the offshore Credit Control team and Credit Control BPO Manager, providing clear information and a point of contact for any issues they may have. Act as a primary contact point to resolve all Credit Control issues relating to the assigned Bureau Major Broker portfolio including, but not limited to the Collection of Premium including the liaison with Underwriters, Operations, Finance and third parties. In collaboration with the CGM Head of Credit Control review processes and procedures on a regular basis to identify efficiency gains, documenting and rolling out where required. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Control documents relevant to the team and ensure that they are maintained in accordance with company guidelines. Regular reporting to the CGM Head of Credit Control on all key responsibilities. Work with CGM Operations, Underwriting and Underwriting Assistants, building relationships to expedite Collection of Premium and resolution of queries.
