Senior Creo & Windchill Installation Engineer Job Number: 353449 Category: -Software & Systems SBU Description: A REMOTE Senior Software Developer Engineer - Creo & Windchill Installation positions is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits working remotely from anywhere in the U.S. We are seeking a highly skilled **Creo/Windchill Administrator** to lead the implementation, configuration, and full setup of PTC Creo and Windchill systems for our organization. This role will be instrumental in establishing a robust CAD and PLM environment, ensuring seamless functionality, and optimizing engineering workflows. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive experience in deploying and maintaining Creo and Windchill systems from the ground up. Job duties: System Installation and Setup · Plan, install, and configure PTC Creo and Windchill systems in a new organizational environment. · Set up Windchill server environments, including database configuration, licensing, and network integration. · Deploy Creo installations across user workstations, ensuring proper integration with Windchill. System Configuration and Customization · Configure Windchill to align with organizational workflows, including lifecycles, roles, and product structures. · Develop and implement custom workflows, business rules, and lifecycles tailored to company requirements. · Integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, document management). Data Management and Migration · Plan and execute data migrations, including CAD models, BOMs, and legacy data, into the Windchill system. · Ensure proper data security and compliance with industry and organizational standards. Ongoing Administration · Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of Creo and Windchill environments. · Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and licenses. · Conduct regular system updates, upgrades, and patch installations to maintain optimal performance. Support and Training · Provide technical support to users, addressing and resolving system-related issues promptly. · Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct user training sessions for engineering and design teams. · Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Collaboration · Work closely with IT, engineering, and product management teams to ensure the system supports organizational goals. · Liaise with vendors and PTC support to resolve technical issues and implement system improvements. Required qualifications: · Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. · 5+ years of experience with PTC Creo and Windchill, including full system installations and setups. · Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required. · Proven expertise in Windchill server setup, including database, application server, and integration configurations. · Strong knowledge of CAD/PLM workflows and best practices. · Experience with Windchill customization, including scripting for workflows and automation (e.g., Java, Python). · Familiarity with system administration tools and network configurations. · Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. · Ability to work independently and lead system implementation projects. · Occasional travel may be required as necessary as needed. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in data migration projects, including tools and methodologies for large-scale transfers. · Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their integration with Windchill. · Experience in manufacturing or regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, DoD Missile Defense). · Familiarity with Agile project management. - Strong organizational and project management skills. · Effective communication for training and collaboration. · Attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy. We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $124,000 to $156,000.
