Description In this role, you will perform a variety of duties in cleaning and sanitation at the UCLA West Valley Medical Center's Nutrition Department. Responsibilities include: + Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping and waxing floors. + Washing walls, doors, windows, light fixtures, discarding trash in waste bins. + Clean, sanitize and reline all trash containers and linen hampers. + Wash and steam rubber floor mats. + Responsible for cleaning and proper storage of housekeeping equipment and report all equipment malfunctions to supervisor on duty. + Responsible for washing dishes, pans, utensils and small equipment according to established procedures. + Adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures. *May covert to career* Salary Range: $25.80-$25.80 HourlyQualifications + Ability to read and write, follow oral and written instructions in English language. + Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time, stretch, stoop, bend, climb, and reach repetitively. + Ability to work in hot, cold and/or wet areas; lift 40 lbs and push/pull 350 lbs. + Knowledge in the use, disposal, and labeling of chemicals used in a food service setting. + Ability to conform to dress code and work in a non-smoking environment. + Ability to practice safe food handling techniques. + Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and work schedule. + Interpersonal skills and interact effectively with co-workers, customers, asst. managers and managers.
