Senior Customer Account Engineer

The Senior Customer Account Engineer will be a core team member serving our customers and will listen, understand and communicate customer’s needs to business unit and sales teams.  The Senior Customer Account Engineer will work with business unit to ensure customer’s requirements are met and contract is executed consistent with Westinghouse strategic and financial objectives and act as focal point for all communications with customer and lead major business unit sales and marketing activities, support contract execution, order implementation and control, and facilitate resolution of problems for specific customer.

 

Your Day to Day:

Using the customer relations management tool to manage the opportunity pipeline and associated actions to achieve target objectives by growing order pipeline and ensure volume and quality of orders by customer. Manage account planning and maintenance of customer agreements including rebate structures, insurance and safety reporting requirements along with account plan tools and quarterly updates. Provide oversight of customer correspondence and other customer specific requirements. Develop and maintain critical working relationships with internal and external customer personnel up to and including senior manager level.  Act as focal point for customer requests.  Understands the customer’s organization, objectives, and expectations, including utility economics. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Westinghouse products/services.  Provide insight to support increase sales opportunities by integration of product/service capabilities and proactively promote to resolve customer needs.  Support development of specific customer business plans and objectives, including competition and market conditions information. Collaborate with account team, customers, sales and technical team members to provide creative solutions for customers. Lead problem resolution efforts, often through direct customer contact, scope, warranty, deficiency, suspense, and cost/scheduler conflicts.  Engage internal Westinghouse teams such as contracts, legal, supply chain and sales. Assure issues are promptly resolved internally and maintains appropriate customer communications. Collaborate with product line resources for routine and emergency situations when necessary to meet customer’s needs. Establish agenda for customer meetings, assure proper attendance and preparation of presentation material, make presentations, and conduct meeting. 

 

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent related technical discipline.  Typically, a minimum of four years’ experience in sales techniques, product, marketing or projects organizations is required.  Previous customer-oriented experience highly desirable along with knowledge of nuclear systems, products, services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives. Nuclear experience highly valued.
