Job Description SummaryThe Senior Project Engineer will direct and coordinate the engineering and design of assigned projects along with technical aspects of the contract. They will coordinate timely decision making on project technical issues relying on internal technical authorities as necessary. Also they will establish & manage the technical interface between all parties involved in the project including engineers, customers, and subcontractors.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Work with functional engineering teams' to build estimates, schedules, and change ordersCoordinate and provide technical and delivery leadership for the projectBe accountable for engineering interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines, business project management, subcontractors, and customersProvide oversight for subcontractor engineering work on assigned projectsDefine critical technical project issues and ensure their timely resolutionIdentify technical risks and implement risk mitigation plansEnsure engineering activities are performed in compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory requirementsSupport commercial and marketing opportunities for Engineering including generating technical portions of proposalsKeep project and engineering management advised of project progress, performance, and resource utilization with particular attention to delays, adverse trends, errors and omissions Work with Chief Consulting Engineers to coordinate Engineering Design Reviews as required for successful completion of the projectReview engineering performance on the project to ensure quality, conformance with design process, procedures and completeness of engineering tasksPromptly review Design Change notices, identify change order candidates, segregate cost collection, and assist the Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order managementPerform Responsible Configuration Management reviews as required for assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university Minimum of 10 years of power industry project management, design, or operation experience

Eligibility Requirements:

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be consideredAbility and willingness to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this position is $120,000-160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 2/14/2025.

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
